So today we are going to talk about "Origami". Origami is the art of paper folding, which is often associated with Japanese culture. In modern usage, the word "origami" is used as an inclusive term for all folding practices, regardless of their culture of origin.

Today I am going to make an origami butterfly.

Here is a time-lapse of me making the origami butterfly.

So here is the final output.

Ang Matalik kong Kaibigan

 Matalik kong kaibigan

IPA

 International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA)

Everyday all of us people speak and talk to each other. We talk to our own languages, but today we are going to talk about the IPA or International Phonetic Alphabet.

The International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) is an alphabetic system of phonetic notation based primarily on the Latin script. It was devised by the International Phonetic Association in the late 19th century as a standardized representation of the sounds of spoken language.

So this is a video of me try to speak every work correctly.

The other activity that I was assigned is how to write the IPA into a words. So here is my final output of the activity.

The letters are blurry in this photo
but what it says in there is:
"It matters not how far the sea extends the water always stop to where it ends"

 Korean Calligraphy

Calligraphy is a visual art that counts as writing. Calligraphy is an artistic way of writing something.

Today we will be talking about Korean Calligraphy. Korean calligraphy, also known as Seoye, is the Korean tradition of artistic writing. While early Korean calligraphy was written in Chinese characters, including Hanja, modern Korean calligraphy may be written using Hangul, the native Korean alphabet.

This past couple days I was practicing Korean calligraphy. The photo below is me practicing to do the Korean Calligraphy.

I used a pen on writing the words.
It was challenging at first, but the more I practice with it the more I become comfortable with it.

This is a time-lapse of me making the final output.

This is the final outcome of the calligraphy.

MANGA

So today we are going to talk about "Manga". In Japanese, "manga" refers to all kinds of cartooning, comics, and animation. Among English speakers, "manga" has the stricter meaning of "Japanese comics", in parallel to the usage of "anime" in and outside Japan. The term "ani-manga" is used to describe comics produced from animation cels.

So today we I am going to draw one of my pictures in to an anime manga. So here is the photo:

East Asia Musical Instruments

 Taiko

Today we are going to talk about an Intsruments coming from the East Asia. It is a a kind of drum that is originated in Japan. This drum is called Taiko drums (ๅคช้ผ“). So you might be asking "what is that?", so today I will introduce you that intsruments.

Taiko are a broad range of Japanese percussion instruments. In Japanese, the term refers to any kind of drum, but outside Japan. A taiko is a drum made from an open-ended wooden barrel with animal skin stretched over both ends. It is played with two bachi (wooden sticks). There are two distinct methods of fitting the animal skin to the drums. "Taiko" is a Japanese word which means 'drumming style'. Their function has varied throughout history, ranging from communication, military action, theatrical accompaniment, and religious ceremony to both festival and concert performances. In modern times, taiko have also played a central role in social movements for minorities both within and outside Japan. Also not only adult people play it , but also children.

Here is a short video:

These kind of intsruments is special even though they're old. Let's also aprecciate it and be thankful that these things exist. They are also very precious and part of it's culture.

“I think music in itself is healing. It’s an explosive expression of humanity. It’s something we are all touched by. No matter what culture we’re from, everyone loves music.” ― Billy Joel

Equality

=Equality=

Everybody has a different opinion to others. We also have different ways in living. The problem is that others are not treated equally because they are "different". Especially when it comes to those who are part of the LGBTQ+ Community.

In this generation we have a lot of problems in gender equality. As a student I support them, I have a friend who is part of the LGBTQ+ community but the problem is his parents won't allowed him. As one of his friends I support and accept him for he really is. Well we should be treating them equally like how we treat others too. It is their decision to be who they are. We don't have any rights on judging how they look, because it is who they are and it is their choice of who they want to be in life. Well it like buying your favorite flavored ice cream but they don't want you to have it because they don't like. We should treat them nicely and accept them. Those who are part of the LGBTQ+ Community are not the only ones who are facing this issue , black and Muslim people face the same problem. Society is just so cruel you know and we need to change that.

We cannot just destroy someones else life. All of us must treat them equally and accept the fact that this is who they want to be . As always said," Don't judge a book by its cover"๐Ÿ˜Š. Spread the love to everybody not hate.

"Do not call for black power or green power. Call for brain power."

 Origami Wau Bulan

So today we will making an Origami Wau Bulan. Before we start lets know about Wau. So Wau Bulan is an intricately designed moon-kite it is originated in Malaysia, and it is one of Malaysia's national symbols.

The materials you needed is just a piece of paper (and you๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜…), any paper would work, but I suggest using a paper that is not too thick so that you can fold it easily.

The first step I do is to form the paper to a square. It could in any sizes.

After you form it the rest of the step is in this video below.

You can experiment it in any different sizes like in this photo.

Any paper would work. I even make one out of a scratch paper

To be honest I have a lot of fun making these origami till today

Reflective Essay

 The Food of Paradise

The story of The Food of Paradise is all about a food that have been floating on the river. It started of with Mullah Ibrahim found a food that has wrapped with leaves that is floating on the river. After some months Ibrahim wonder if where his daily rotation of food came, and to his curiousity to this he started out a journey. On the 4th day of his journey he acquainted to a hermit and told him the story of the Silver Castle. Next he went to meet the Princess who kept giving him foods, and thank him.

This story made mention of Ibrahim slept even though he did not eat anything the whole day, because he believes that miracle will happen, and it did. It his like having a group activity in class but no one will help you and despite of working alone you still accomplish it. Well I experienced this a lot of times but I never told anyone about it. It also mention  in the story that he is the only one who did all the work but did not have any in return. I always face this kinds of scenarios whenever we had a group activity. I did majority of the work because I don't really ask a lot of help from my groupmates because they might complain that they have to do a lot of work than I am. Ibrahim is a hardworking guy/person in this story he mostly do the task just to teach his Islam students, but at the end of the day he deserves to be awarded.

After I read this story I realized that despite of having a hard/rough day at the end it pays of. It is like a wave, when a wave floats away it's like having sweet, sweet relief.
